200025049Los Angeles: Dream City Publications. Fine in Near Fine dj. c.2000. First Edition. Hardcover. 0970567405 . no discernible wear to book; jacket has some extremely light surface wear still presents "as new" in mylar jacket cover. B&W and color photographs Uncommon and rather nicely-done super-MM-fan publication self-billed as "the first digitally-designed Marilyn book." It's presented in something of a scrapbook format with photographs and other illustrations interlaced with "the star's reflections on her own life -- her thoughts feelings and anecdotes culled from interviews and obscure recordings." Although Jack Allen is the primary author and about a third of the book's photos are credited to him the volume is described as a gathering of "rare and revealing photos many unseen from the private collections of Marilyn's premier fan club"; this would be the group "Marilyn Remembered" whose president Greg Schreiner states in a brief introductory note that the book represents "an opportunity for members to celebrate the millennium by sharing rarely-seen photographs from our collections of the woman who became the quistessential icon of the 20th century." In addition to Mr. Allen another sixteen individuals are given credit for the book's photos; there are also a number of "digital illustrations" rendered by Amit Zohar. .
