Some women remain bare busted at this time meaning perhaps mid-Victorian period. . THE ALBUM: Album size is ca.36 x 25.5 cm. Japanese Washi handmade mullberry fiber tissue paper covered boards. The spine and all corners were reinforced in the past using hand-made marbled paper. Hinges remain a bit stiff contents is on stiff buff paper a bit brittle as usual for items of this vintage. . Album is void of any writing date or other information. Based on images paper we estimate the photos are from ca. 1890-1910 period. . Color photos are posted to our website. . CONDITION: The album pages are a bit brittle and have been mended in the past with white cloth tape and thin Japanese Washi paper addressing small closed tears nicks and the like. . By and large each page is now firm and solid but remains in rather 'delicate' condition and should be handled with care. The other option is remove the photographs and put in a more substantial paged album using 'corners' to mount each photograph. . . unknown
