Color cover illustration by Stabeneau of a 15th century Santa Claus. Some light chipping along the edges. Good to very good condition. Black and white photos and illustrations. A beautifully produced magazine published by Bayer 1900-1985 who was affiliated with Bauhaus for many years. The magazine had an Avante-garde appeal to a mass audience. It combined fashion literature graphic design and art. Somehow the prevailing regime in Germany left the magazine alone. This issue has beautiful full page color ads including a Christmas ad for Mouson Lavendel; 4711 Shahi Pardum; Schultz Grunlack ale; Ariston Luxe cigarettes; Kolnisch Wasser; Atikak cigarettes.
