The Monarchia describes an imaginary realm in 21 chapters, in a Tacitean style, of a people called solipsi, "only thinking of themselves". - This first edition is listed in NUC once (under the title). Isolates the special and positive characteristics of the Counter-Reformation and accounts for them in relation to the environment in which they developed. He sees in the spirit of the Counter-Reformation an attempt not to check but to expand and come to terms with the more individualistic and modern environment in which the Catholic Church found itself. Gesuita, fu legato da amicizia e stima intellettuale al suo maestro Bernardino Stefonio, divenuto famoso per la creazione della ""tragedia cristiana"" e considerato il più importante drammaturgo della storia teatrale della Compagnia di Gesù. Dopo la messa in scena delle due tragedie latine dello Stefonio, il Crispo e la Flavia, fu il Galluzzi che si occupò di trarre le conclusioni teoriche del successo ottenuto; nel 1621, pubblicò il trattato Virgilianae vindicationes et Commentarii tres de tragoedia, de comoedia et elegia che, basandosi sui lavori dello Stefonio (nei quali si fondevano i valori estetici di origine umanistica con quelli della sensibilità cristiana), diventò una vera e propria poetica ufficiale dell'Ordine. After the staging of the two Latin tragedies by Stefonio, Crispo and Flavia, it was Galluzzi who took care of drawing the theoretical conclusions of the success achieved; in 1621, he published the treatise Virgilianae vindicationes et Commentarii tres de tragoedia, de comoedia et elegia which, based on the works of Stefonio (in which aesthetic values of humanistic origin were merged with those of Christian sensitivity), became a real official poetics of the Order. Il settimo opuscolo è una lettera scritta dall’Arcivescovo di Utrecht ad un ecclesiastico francese ignoto, in cui il prelato tratta delle questioni correnti nella Chiesa, tra cui il giansenismo. Gli opuscoli ottavo e nono sono rimostranze che il Parlamento normanno indirizzò a Luigi XVI riguardo l’imposizione di nuove imposte, mentre l’ultimo opuscolo è il discorso d’insediamento tenuto da Monsignor Le Franc de Pompignac davanti all’Accademia di Francia e il discorso in risposta a questo tenuto da M. Dupré de Saint Maure, Presidente dell’Accademia. It is a collection of pamphlets of various subjects, the first six of which concern the mismanagement of the Jesuits in the Spanish and Portuguese overseas territories and the related letters of complaints addressed to the ecclesiastical authorities, the intervention of Benedict XIV in this matter with the appointment of Francisco De Saldanha as cardinal of Lisbon and the reform of the Society of Jesus in Portugal made by him. The seventh pamphlet is a letter written by the Archbishop of Utrecht to an unknown French clergyman, in which the prelate deals with current issues in the Church, including Jansenism. The eighth and ninth pamphlets are grievances that the Norman Parliament addressed to Louis XVI regarding the imposition of new taxes, while the last pamphlet is the inauguration speech given by M. Le Franc de Pompignac before the French Academy and the speech in response to this given by M. Dupré de Saint Maure, President of the Academy.
