The leather shows some scuffing and the rear cover has a small tear / hole in the leather. The text block is sound and square. The second front flyleaf has a likely early 20th century gift inscription in ink. The text is toned but generally clean. A few pages are dog eared. Page 548 contains the 1848 act to abolish Slavery in Connecticut prevent the importation fo slaves and to require former masters to pay for the care of emancipated slaves. <br /><br /></p> Case, Tiffany and Company hardcover
