Antica dedica manoscritta alla prima carta bianca. Prima edizione di questo celebre viaggio fotografico a Gerusalemme e nella Palestina di fine ottocento. L'opera è arricchita da centinaia di foto, molte delle quali anche a piena pagina. L'opera racconta con testo e immagini un viaggio attraverso: Jaffa, Jerusalem, la Voie Douloureuse et le Saint-Sepulcre, Le Mont Sion et le Moriah, la Giudea, Bethleem et le Jourdain (Bethanie, Jericho, Mar Morto), Hebron e Ain-Karim, la Samarie (El Bireh, Nazareth, Silo, Bethulie, Sunam, Naim), e la Galilee (Le Cison, Carmel, Thabor, Damasco, Cana ecc.). A parte il difetto alle cerniere (che si presento leggermente lento anche a pagina 16, l'opera si presenta in buone condizioni di conservazione.
