As to dating the upper bound for the cemetery of Marquis of Jin cannot be earlier than Western Zhou and its lower bound cannot be later than early Spring or Autumn period. The discovery of the cemetery and the results of preliminary studies have helped to resolve certain puzzling problems in the study of Jin history corrected much misinformation in historical documents and recordings and greatly enriched the context for the research for the history of Jin state Jin culture and archaeology of Western Zhou.
