First American edition. French and English text on facing pages. 1 vols. 12mo. Author of "Paul and Virginia." The first book of the author's work "Arcadia" "wherein the celebrated author . . .had proposed to represent the three states of barbarity civilization and corruption through which pass successively almost every nation" Advertisement of the Translators.
