The second Chief Inspector Wexford title played on television by George Baker in the long-running Ruth Rendell Mysteries series. A rare book. Reasonably square and tight still the corners lightly bumped and pushed at both spine tips. Free from owner names etc there are three single spots or very small marks to the bottom edge of the text-block but no other signs of spotting or foxing. Small mark to top edge. The dustjacket is unclipped with price of 21s net at the front flap. Corners split with minor loss and chipped at both ends of the spine. There are small holes along the joints. The front flap has a 2" split along the joint from bottom and all edges are shelf-worn with some nicks to the edges. For best appreciation of condition please examine the accompanying images.
