Edition of 3000. Second expanded edition of one of the author’s most well-known collections of poetry first published in Uruguay in 1969 by Editorial Alfa but including work from as early as 1956. In the preface Islas reflects on how the military dictatorship initiated in 1973 altered the relationship between the masses and literature. Islas left Uruguay in 1976 and re-settled in Mexico where he died in 2019. This copy was apparently inscribed to a fellow Uruguayan. Axel Editora paperback
