1972004334Greenwich: New York Graphic Society 1972. Canadian master printmaker Saul Field created a "Bloomsday Suite" for exhibition in 1967 reflecting his fascination with James Joyce's "Ulysses." This beautiful book is based upon that endeavor containing numerous illustrations. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition which is LIMITED to 250 copies. Light green cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine. Clean text; 120 pages. SIGNED by Saul Field and Morton Levitt on the Title Page. Includied is an original engraving printed on Barcham green paper also signed and numbered by the artist. Tiny hints of corner bumping else a Fine copy. The dustjacket is showing some delamination of the acetate. The light green folder that protects the original print has a small spot on the front cover; the cloth-covered slipcase has some edgewear and light fading. A solid copy and rather uncommon today. Some shrinking of the plastic is wrinkling the DJ. There is a 2" closed tear to the plastic but not the paper of the DJ on the back .DJ is not price clipped. Laid in is a review of "Tales of Heritage" which was an exhibit at Strong College York University in Canada Which was a joint collaboration by Mr. Field with Hedi Bouraoui a noted poet in Canada.
