Titre imprimé en rouge et noir. Très bon état, pas de rousseurs. 3ff-XXXIX-387pp- 2ff-426pp-1ff. Bien complet des 2 frontispices et 11 planches, pour la plupart des cartes, dont 10 dépliantes. L'édition originale de cet ouvrage, donnée à Londres de 1715 à 1718, connut un succès prodigieux en Angleterre et y fut réimprimée près de dix fois en quelques années. On a retranché de cette traduction les passages anticatholiques, mais elle a en revanche été augmentée de deux dissertations du Père Joseph Tournemine, l'une sur la ruine de Ninive et l'empire assyrien, l'autre sur l'autorité des livres de l'Ancien Testament récusés par les protestants et des lettres critiques de Moyle ainsi que des réponses.
