Tagli spruzzati in rosso. Esemplare a parte un piccolo ed insignificante difetto al margine superiore della cerniera del secondo volume, in ottime condizioni di conservazione. Opera rarissima, due soli esemplari censiti in ICCU per il primo volume e nessun esemplare censito per il secondo volume, di questa raccolta di scritti dell'abate mantovano Gaetano Buganza che fu celeberrimo intellettuale ed epigrafista latino. Il primo volume è dedicato a sua altezza reale la Principessa Maria Beatrice Ricciarda d'Este Arciduchessa d'Austria, mentre il secondo volume è dedicato a Monsignor Anton Gabriele Severoli Arcivescovo di Petra e amministratore del vescovado di Fano. [Dizionario enciclopedico - Genova](Cm.32) Buona mz. pergamena sec. XVII Nervi, titolo al dorso. -cc.10nn., pp. 1019 + 1 p. bianca. Marca tipografica al frontis, capolettera figurati e a fondo nero. Testo a due colonne in latino con vari passi in greco. Opera molto interessante che riporta ciò che hanno scritto i classici e gli scrittori del medio-evo sui vari soggetti: amore, aborto, astrologia, medicina, musica, cecità, morte, inferno, vino ecc. In forma di dizionario enciclopedico di facile consultazione, con brani antologici anche in Italiano, dal petraraca ecc. apparsa nel 1503 ebbe molte ristampe. per notizie sull'autore Genovese vedi. * Soprani "Scrittori della Liguria" 1667, p.84 e Oldoini a. "Scriptorum Ligurum" 1680 p. 161. Esemplare particolare con molte eleganti annotazioni manoscritte ai margini, che costituiscono una aggiunta di altre citazioni e passi poetici, in Italiano, molte delle quali dal Pastor Fido del Guarini. Tutto in chiarissima grafia della fine del '500 la cui autografia ci è ignota.; merita uno studio. Esemplare assolutamente completo delle 10 carte iniziali, come descrive Adams, nonostante il richiamo errato a carta 10 verso, alcune ombreggiature all'interno per la qualità della carta con minime fioriture. Peraltro bell'esemplare, fresco e marginoso. Antico ex-libris al frontis. Molto raro manca a BM.STC. German, Choix, Graesse, Brunet e a varia bibliografia consultata. * Adams N 24.[f68] Libro

Esemplare numerato tratto da una ristretta tiratura di copie si carta a mano “vergé”. In ottimo stato (nice copy).
