'Galen's commentary on Hippocrates' epi dépur iáwv Towv has not been found in the original Greek or in the translation made from Greek into Syriac by Hunain ibn Ishäq but is extant in an Arabic translation made by Hubaysh al-A'sam ninth century a Hebrew translation made from the Arabic in 1299 by Solomon ha-Me'ati and finally a Latin translation of the Hebrew text made by Moses Amram Alatino 1529-1605. Only the last text which is four removes from the original Greek has been available in print; it can be found in the ninth Juntine edition of Galen's works. Wasserstein provides a critical edition of the Hebrew text which exists in only one manuscript Oxford Bodleian Library Opp. Add. 18 fol. He furnishes the Hebrew text with a literal English translation and writes an extensive commentary which is conveniently placed below the text.' C. S. F. Burnett in 'The Classical Review.'
