James Thomas Cotton Noe was one of Kentucky's favorite Poet Laureate and Professor. Inscribed and signed by the author as a gift to his son and wife on ffep: " To Sherod and Francis and the babies. Daddy - Cotton Noe". A truly one of a kind item. Cotton's son was Sherod Stanfill Noe who married Francis V. Conklin. They had three children - Mary Frances and Shirley. The author gave this book to his son after the children were born. Pages are toned with end pages and pastedown showing moderate darkening. No other handwriting found in book other than inscription.
