A good strong copy with some wear and staining. <br /> <br /> An intensely detailed history of the American Standard Horse interestingly the only breed of horse that owes its breeding development and characteristics entirely to the United States. A presentation copy to Caroline Riesor Rau--a Chicago socialite and prolific book collector and wife of David Wallerstein-David Wallerstein would become President of the Balaban & Katz Midwest movie theaters as well as friends with Ray Kroc and Walt Disney and later served on the Board of Directors of Disney ABC and McDonalds.
