A PRESENTATION COPY FROM THE AUTHOR WITH HIS SIGNED AND DECORATED HOLOGRAPH INSCRIPTION ON FRONT FREE ENDPAPER. The recipients are the author's close friends Colonel & Mrs Goddard; Newlandsmith has decorated his inscription with a musical stave captioned 'Ad Dei Gloriam'. The first volume of 'The Musician's Pilgrimage', the autobiography of the famous musicologist, founder of the New Life Movement and transcriber of Coptic church music. Extremely scarce, especially as a presentation copy. We have been unable to trace any institutional copy of this work.

Bellissima antiporta figurata allegorica incisa in rame da Conelis Bloemaert su disegno di Giovanni Angelo Canini, ritratto di Innocenzo X, 1 grande tavola più volte ripiegata, 5 incisioni in rame a piena pagina (di Pietro Miotte), numerose xilografie nel testo, iniziali xilografiche, testo in carattere romano, corsivo, arabo, greco ed ebraico, marca tipografica in fine volume, brunitura su qualche carta, legatura in pergamena coeava, piccoli difetti.
