Sicuramente il neognosticismo, nelle sue varie articolazioni di magico movimento eterogeneo di massa, e proprio in virtù della camaleontica adattabilità che lo caratterizza, ha saputo avvicinare un numero sempre crescente di individui in cerca di una risposta al perché dell'esistenza. Indubbiamente questo fenomeno ha molto più in comune con le Chiese Gnostiche, essendone la naturale evoluzione, piuttosto che con lo gnosticismo storico. Il neognosticismo si rivolge all'uomo contemporaneo attraverso una particolare modulazione capace di avvolgerlo e di farlo sentire, pur nella propria inadeguatezza ed elementare massificazione, un essere speciale: un individuo, il quale proprio perché 'speciale' e soggetto alle malevole attenzioni delle forze di questo mondo, soffre ed è disagiato, come un vaso di terracotta in mezzo ad un mondo di ferrea spigolosità.
br. Questo libro altro non vuole che presentare alcuni degli innumerevoli miti gnostici e fornirne una chiave di lettura. Ciò al fine di permettere a colui che si avvicina allo gnosticismo di comprenderne il significato profondo, un significato che va ben oltre gli aspetti formali dei suoi stilemi, dell'apparenza dell'immagine e della linearità dell'informazione; questi ultimi elementi sono certamente importanti in chiave comunicativa, ma rappresentano solamente una particola del messaggio gnostico: il quale vuole essere fondamentalmente formativo. Una formazione tesa a fecondare l'anima, in colui che risuona identica armonia interiore, e determinare quella vibrazione atta a mutare il percepito di quanto è reale e di quanto è illusorio, e di tradurlo in nuova linfa vitale.
