FIRST EDITION AND A VERY EARLY ACCOUNT OF A BRITISH WOMAN'S TIME IN AFRICA. The author lived for several years in Sierra Leone. She informally tells us of the hardships and discomforts but also provides much on the missionaries the climate the natural attributes of the area the slave traders and of the native peoples.
