A fascinating read, a worthy tribute to those involved, and a clear explication of the issues involved. This is an approach that would be well deserved by a host of other actions throughout WWII.

Signed 'Jack Merewood' on title page. No other marks or inscriptions. A lovely clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn or creased with minor indentation to front. 209pp. A very well considered book drawing on the author's time as a tank gunner in North Africa and Italy in WW2 including the minutiae of army life. He was awarded the Military Medal after the Battle of the Mareth Line. Also tucked in is a letter from the author to the book purchaser.
