Exemplaire en provenance de la bibliothèque du professeur Georges-Henri Bousquet (1900-1978), qui était juriste (Docteur en droit en 1923 avec une thèse sur "L'évolution sociale en Hollande 1914-1922"), économiste de l'école de Pareto et Schumpeter, et islamisant de l'école de Goldziher et Snouck-Hugronje. Il enseigna notamment à la faculté d'Alger. Il fut l'auteur, en particulier d'un "Précis de droit musulman". Français

8vo., First Edition, with a frontispiece, 70 plates on 34 and a large folding map; original terracotta cloth, gilt back, backstrip mildly faded (but all gilt wholly legible), edges lightly spotted, a very good, clean copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter chipped with minor loss (not affecting lettering) at head of backstrip. With personal bookplate on front paste-down. The 'auto' in question is a 18HP Wolseley; the route travelled is from France to South Africa via Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, the Sudan and so down through East Africa to Durban.
