A clean, unmarked book with a tight binding. 368 pages. 6 1/8"w x 8 1/2"h. Full color photographs, identifying more than 900 species. Also gives scientific, English and Afrikaans common names, each species' length, habitat and call. Relative abundance within the region is indicated and whether the species in endemic, while a tow-color distribution map clearly showes where the bird is likely to be found.
