Thompson's travel visa for the UK which he is visiting on his trip back to the USA. Thompson was born in 1873 in North Conway Ohio and worked as a Consulting Engineer. The visa has red seal with a pie shaped section cut away with original signatures photograph of Thompson and stamps on verso.<br /> <br /> 105 photographs of African animals and carcasses trigger warning landscapes and people of which 44 are of natives 5 of Thompson plus 28 postcards. Postcard photos by Martin Johnson and Paul Hofler & A.H. Wardle of Nairobi.<br /> <br /> Two personal portraits of Thompson on horseback in western gear taken at Pendleton Oregon in 1932 - both made into post cards one with a pen inscription "Dear Hazel The big Round up show is over and the gay holiday . flags and buntings have disappeared."<br /> Housed in a typical 1920's album 12 x 7" binder embossed with an illustration and the word 'fotografs'. Inside is black craft paper leaves holding 2 to 3 images per page. Album spine rubbed photographs and postcards in very good condition postcards visa with original folds some browning at top otherwise vgc. unknown
