Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn with slightly dusty rear, tiny nick to upper rear edge and rubbing to front. 220pp. The author tells the amazing story of the search for the River Niger. Its source was well known, so did it simply evaporate in the Sahara ? He explains how the mystery was solved and the river shown to flow first north-east, then east and finally south-east to the Bight of Biafra.
