In 8vo, pp. 75, xil. in b/n n. t. + 1 carte rip. f. t., leg. edit. in tela verde color vinaccia con impressioni in oro a secco. Il resoconto dei fatti che diedero vita al conflitto che si concluse con il suicidio del re Teodoro. Tra il 1755 e il 1855, l'Etiopia visse un periodo di isolamento noto "Era dei Principi". Gli imperatori divennero mere figure di facciata, controllate da capi militari e da dinastie. L'isolamento etiope terminò in seguito a una missione britannica che comportò l'alleanza tra le due nazioni, ma solo nel 1855 l'Etiopia fu completamente unificata e posta sotto il governo dell'imperatore Teodoro II, che iniziò a modernizzare il paese e a centralizzare il potere. Tuttavia l'impero fu attaccato in numerose occasioni, sia da parte di milizie e ribelli locali, sia dall' Impero Ottomano e dalle forze egiziane nei pressi del Mar Rosso. Teodoro II, fortemente indebolito nel potere, si suicidò nel 1868 dopo la sua ultima battaglia contro un corpo di spedizione britannico. Segni del tempo alla legatura, dorso ricostruito, uniforme marcato ingiallimento ma buono l'interno.

Leggeri segni del tempo in apertura del primo e secondo tomo che reca un ex libris al frontespizio, peraltro tutta l'opera è in ottime condizioni con legature ben salde.
