Wrappers somewhat soiled faint odor of cigarette smoke; good. Karlovy Vary called Karlsbad in Germnan and Carlsbad in English is a spa town in western Bohemia known for its many hot springs. This book seeks to promote tourism to Czechoslovakia in general and Karlovy Vary in particular on the grounds that "visits to climatic spas and health resorts together with traveling are a necessity for educated people and are the best means for the prevention and cure of diseases and for the maintainence of health." The qualities of the different spas are described in some detail as are the complaints treated and cures effected. For those who tire of bathing there are also itineraries for walks and sightseeing excursions. One copy located in OCLC at the National Library of the Czech Republic.
