Marguerite December 1993". With laid in manuscript note from Poland along with newspaper cuttings of reviews of her book. Very good in brown cloth lightly rubbed to spine ends text block age toned and stained to the top edge but otherwise crisp; in a very good dust jacket spine rubbed to ends and lightly sunned but the panels are bright. John Ryan 1921 2009 was a British animator and cartoonist best remembered for his character Captain Pugwash which began as a comic strip which spawned books and a TV series which was animated by Ryan in real time using a system of cut-out characters and boats moved by hidden cardboard levers. We have acquired Pugwash artwork and a collection of books at a recent sale of items from Ryan's estate. With 33 maps mainly folding some with overlays and some in color followed by 27 sheets of tables. Fair condition with soil and light wear to outermost pages some of the wax or glassine overlays splitting and worn most of the maps are in good to very good condition condition but some have some splitting along folds light edgewear and loss surface soil and small stains at lower inner corners. The second of two volumes of maps to accompany the encyclopedia the first volume concentrating on the economics of Poland and its inhabitants.
