The leather bindings show considerable wear at the corners and along the spine. The corners and outer edges of the binding are abraded. Spine and other places are somewhat scuffed. The leather at the foot of the spine on Volume I is peeling up. All pages marbled. Marbled flyleaves show discoloration. Volume I front endpaper contains several inscriptions in both ink and pencil. Volume II is missing the front endpaper. Both volumes have the ink stamp name of "Paul G. Charlet" on the half title. The text is toned and has some foxing as well as some smduging at the fore edges.
