Vladimir Rott was born an Hungarian citizen in the Soviet Union where his father Ferenc Roth was contracted to develop a lumber mill at Bobyrusk in Belasrus.Vladimir was 3 when his father was arrested and banished him to Siberia, to Kolyma, where in the horrors of the labor camps he spent 2 years and from where he never returned.These are the letters that they received from Siberia.
