Harington' and 'Memo in Rob Harington's Handwriting'. Includes works in English French and Italian the earliest being Wright's 'Rutland' 1684 'B P. Stuart of T. Marianne Harrington sic 1834' and the latest O. M. Mitchell's 'Orbs of Heaven' 1853 'R Harington'. From the Harington family papers. The family of Andrew Stuart 1725-1801 of Torrance was related to the Harington baronets through the marriage in 1830 of Charlotte Stuart to Robert Harington younger son of Sir John Edward Harington 8th Baronet. A former owner's neat printed bookplate is pasted to each paste-down of the two volumes. 391 pages in all plus 143 plates. Loosely inserted fold-out map in pouch at the rear of volume two. The jackets have not been price-clipped £20 for both volumes or £336 in today's money - they are a bargain! - they have some edge wear and rubbing to the peripheries but are essentially in very good clean tight condition and free from dust soiling. Total £4215.15.5 to be paid to Burroughs "Given at the Cockpit this 30 th day of July 1719 . . .
