The significance of Vpered in the history of the CPSU is defined by the fact that the paper was an ideological-political organ abroad that cooperated with the practical organ in Russiathe Bureau of Committees of the Majorityto give political and organizational shape to Bolshevism (The Great Soviet Encyclopedia, 3rd Edition. 1979) .
