"This second edition is the story of the descendants of the original pioneers, including those who no longer live in New Finland and those who have never lived there at all. This new book is not an attempt to re-tell the story told in the 1982 first edition. Rather, it is a book about the people who have come from New Finland, those children and grandchildren and great grandchildren who have made their way in a world much different from that which the original Finnish pioneers discovered in the new country." - p.2. New Finland is located about 20km north of Wapella in southeast Saskatchewan, between the towns of Whitewood, Esterhazy, Tantallon and Rocanville, on the north side of the Qu'appelle River. IV, 304, [3] pages. Family Index. Generously illustrated with black and white reproductions of photos. Clean and bright with light wear. Binding tight. Few markings to contents. Names and birthdates written on blank Notes page at back. An attractive copy of this precious genealogical reference. Book
