For the first time the boys school won the Championship of the City and Whitechapel Schools Swimming Association. This distinction has been much coveted for some years past, as it was felt that in face of the schools fine record in Football, Cricket and Athletics, there was no reason why excellence in swimming should be unobtainable. The older girls, very ably taught by one of the teachers, acted, in costume, the play of Julius Caesar for the School Shakespeare Celebration. It was sufficiently well done to make the performance of great value to the children, and to receive the highest praise from all who saw it. The costumes were very kindly loaned by Messrs.
