This is a fine softcover copy with virtually no wear. Completely clean inside and out. This is a sale catalog for an auction held at Christie's South Kensington on October 4, 2012. Sale code: POS-6934. The sale consisted of posters from the London Transport Museum and included many well known examples of posters designed for the London Underground (subway) during the first half of the 20th century. Also posters for sporting events like Wimbledon. And London attractions like the zoo, Kew Gardens, etc. 326 lots in the sale. All illustrated in color. Prices realized sheets included. 11" high X 8" wide, 148 pages. This book will be securely packed and shipped with tracking.

In 1921 the 1/15th was reconstituted as 15th Battalion London Regiment (POW Own Civil Service Rifles); in 1923 15th Battalion was amalgamated with 16th Battalion. Scarce in this condition. Presentation copy from John Burns to Marjorie Lockton, signed and dated 1933 with a note about having a sore arm from billiards. John burns was a labor agitator at the turn of the century London, arrested and prosecuted for sedition and aquitted in 1886, sentenced for participating in a riot in Trafalgar square then later elected member of Parliament in 1892, 1895, 1900 & 1906.
