This is a very good hardcover copy with just light wear. Completely clean inside and out. Text in English and Italian. Published on the occasion of Venice Biennale 53. The installation by Joseph Kosuth in June 2007, was inspired by the historic character of the island of San Lazzaro in the lagoon of Venice. On this island centuries ago a monastery was established and over time the library in this place became well known. This part of the island was a sanctuary for Armenians and became known as 'Little Armenia'. Joseph Kosuth's installation consists of a series of long inscriptions in yellow neon that extend across the whole surface of the church. The inscriptions are in Italian, English and Armenian. Illustrated with color photographs and one 5 panel gatefold that is tipped in at the end. Also black & white photographs documenting the installation in progress. 13" high X 11" wide, 102 pages. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
