Two old horizontal folds a couple of thin stains on the front panel a bit of rubbing about near fine. A program for the film Money Talks in Darktown starring Florence McLain Frank Montgomery Bert Murphy and Jimmie Marshall. The Historical Feature Film Company was a White-owned production studio in Chicago producing films with largely Black casts but which still incorporated all of the racial stereotypes of the period. The company is largely credited with being established in 1915 though this program is for a film releasing on November 30 1914. Following poor public reception to their early films the company changed their name to the Ebony Film Corporation in 1917 in an attempt to appeal to the Black audience and hired Luther J. Pollard a young Black entrepreneur who was given the title of president and general manager. The company officially shut down just a couple of years later. Very scarce.
