Collated complete. A charming collection of Irish sketches with chapters entitled: The Tinker's Dog Fanny Fitz's Gamble A Grand Filly High Tea at McKeown's and An Irish Problem amongst others. Written by Edith Anna none Somerville an Irish novelist and her cousin Violet Florence Martin an Irish author who wrote under the pen name of Martin Ross. The pair collaborated on numerous novels and were most famous for their series of books that were made into the TV series The Irish R.M. With illustrations by Edith Anna none Somerville. Publisher's advertisements to the rear. Rebacked in the original pictorial cloth binding. Externally sound with rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine with the odd mark or damp mark to the boards. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright with light scattered spotting predominantly to the first and last few pages.
