Begins: 'My Lord I hae the honor of transmitting the following Addresses of Condolence to Her Majesty the Queen His Royal Highness the Prince Regent and His Serene Highness the Prince Leopold of Sax Cobourgh'. A list of six addresses follows variously sent to different members of the royal family from noblemen gentlemen clergy freeholders burgesses inhabitants. sheriffs aldermen of the county of Wexford and cities of Armagh and Limerick. Concludes: 'And I request your Lordship will lay the said Addresses before Her Majesty His Royal Highness and His Serene Highness accordingly.' It comprises recto details of 'facilities and advantages in obtaining loans under the Land Improvement Acts.' And verso a schedule of the unions in the Counties Donegal to Sligo with the handwriten addition of Mallow and Kanturk. 22691Undated but with date stamp of the Royal Society of Arts London 24 March 1916. On letterhead of 14 Stanley Gardens W. London. 3pp. 12mo. On bifolium. In good condition lightly aged. Folded once. With date stamp of the RSA and endorsement in blue pencil. He is writing to inform Wood that 'a relative of mine has written a paper on a subject of importance regarding the connection of fat containing glycerin with manufacture of explosives in Germany - and showing how that Country is approaching a crisis - when her supply of fat will be approaching exhaustion'. He cannot remember the exact title but was impressed with the importance of the paper 'at the present time - and suggested that it might be read before your Society if it would prove acceptable'. He asks whether Wood might agree to it being forwarded to him 'for approval of the course I suggest'. He concludes: 'If read I feel sure my friend Prof. Flinders Petrie would take the Chair if invited.' Undated, but with date stamp of the Royal Society of Arts, London, 24 March 1916. On piece of blotting-paper 14 x 13 cm; folded horizontally to make two rectangular leaves each 7 x 13 cm with the signature presented in the centre of the first leaf and with the back leaf laid down neatly on a piece of cream card 14.5 x 17 cm with caption at foot of card: 'ORIGINAL BLOTTING-PAPER IMPRESSION OF SIGNATURE OF EDWARD VII.' Being the result of blotting the impression is a mirror image of the original with the firm signature 6 cm long with a 7.5 cm underlining. On mottled paper with neat vertical fold on left-hand side crossing the underlining of the signature one centimeter from the left. Without date or place. unknown
