A Good copy.<br/><br/>An account of the life of Reverend James Ireland portions as dictated to his secretary on his own deathbed. He was born in Scotland 1748—a self-described wicked man he eventually converted to the Baptist faith and went to Virginia where the Church of England reigned supreme. Ireland continued preaching as a Baptist despite risking arrest; he even spent time in a Culpeper County jail. Eventually he settled down in the Shenandoah Valley teaching and preaching the faith throughout Virginia and enduring a strange episode where his servants attempted to poison him until he passed away in 1806.
