VINTAGE CHRISTIAN MAGAZINES CHURCH OF IRELAND 1945 to 1951. Archive collection of 20 issues of "Divinity" a quarterly review edited by some members of the Church of Ireland. Softcover. <br><br>Almost all issues have blue paper covers with black lettering with the exception of Volume I No. 1 which is typed on a typewriter on copy paper in black ink; and Volume V No. 10 which is an off white cover bearing an illustration of the South Prospect of the Cathedral of S. Patrick's in Dublin" in brown ink. All are bound at the spine by two staples. <br><Br>Publication volumes were originally issued four times within a year's span in May August November and February of the next year. Then in late 1947 publication months became more sporadic and more than four issues were printed in subsequent volumes. Volume I No. 1's title is slightly different reading "Divinity: A Quarterly Magazine edited by members of the Church of Ireland". Contents of issues range from a variety of theological topics such as: "Recent Theological Trends" "Religious Education in Northern Ireland" "The Church in Relation to the State" "The Theology of Holy Baptism" "Contemporary Continental Protestantism" "Clergy and Party Politics in Northern Ireland" "The Church's Teaching on Justification and Election" "Neo-Scholasticism" "St. Thomas Aquinas" "Marriage in the Modern World" "Moral and Ascetic Theology" "The Drama of the Bible" "Neurosis in the Church of England" "Moral Theology in the Anglican Communion" Lambeth 1948 What Is It" "International Relations: The Church's Solution" "The Eucharist and Reunion" and many more articles. <br><br>Pages range from approximately 25 to 40 pages respectively yet most are numbered continuously in that the subsequent volume will pick up in pagination where the previous volume's page ended - yet this pattern is also sporadic as well. The original price for each issue was 1 per copy or 4/6 per annum post free.
