The present copy is number 94. 591pp. This was Purcell's work in honor of Merle Armitage whose book designs using southwestern motifs which were incorporated whether he was writing on Stravinsky George Gershwin Martha Graham or Schoenberg. Here is a fine copy with the original clear mylar cover signed with a letter from Daniel Cronkite who with his wife Janet opened the Sagebrush Press Book Shop in 1991 to Russ Todd the legendary bookseller on themes of Mexico and the Southwest. The letter describes the book with a flyer enclosed here noting it is there most elaborate book yet and finally noting he hopes to see Russ at the UCLA book fair. Also laid in are maps showing region where Isabelle and Merle Amritage and others had their abodes. A very nice copy with some nice history from those involved with publishing. Bound in 1/4 black cloth over yellow paper covered boards lettered and decorated in red and black. A fine copy. Sagebrush Press unknown books
