Subjects include: information about the Marquess of Westminster's land which would be threatened; Timothy Tyrrell's emollient and detailed response; Lord Grosvenors's attitude to the Bill; Tyrrell's brief discussion of the impact on the Turnpike Road from Chester to Wrexham; Dyson Hll & Co. agents approving a Petition from the Earl of Grosvnor and Marquis of Westminster; Copy Letters Earl of Grosvenor with his views and Timothy Tyrell's response detailed; On beholf of Timothy Tyrell a Thomas Layton tells Messrs Potts & Brown that a copy of their letter was sent to the Engineer of the County who will contact the County Surveyor; Dyson Hall & Co response to the Earl of Grosvenor's Draft Petition mentioning a Petition on another matter; a J.R. Hall to Potts & Brown discussing the plan altered to suit the Marquis; Dyson Hall have received the Petition "duly" and will work out what's was "requisite" before a scheuled committeee meeting; Dyson Hall forward the Draft Petition to Potts and Brown. Additionally three stab holes at spine probably was in a bound volume at some point. Bright and clean internally inked "10" upper right front wrapper. Wraps. The first 28 pages are financial in nature and include transactions from May 1st 1876 through April 30th 1877. The next section is the report of the Engineer-in-chief who reports on several projects including the New Pier No. 1. N.R. Canal and King Street sections and other areas. The folding plates depict a section and of a bulk head wall King St. section. The last plate is an isometrical sketch of concrete blocks showing binding frames. The following section is again financials showing what tasks were accomplished and then a report of the Treasurer. Original full calf gilt later rebacked and recornered in calf a little worn; in very good condition the contents are in excellent order. The broad coverage of the State comprises captioned images of public buildings 12 and street scenes 8 of Sydney; ports and harbours 6 including 3 of Newcastle; north coast farms 8; mines and other industries 10; timber 7; livestock 8; agriculture 6; and leisure 7.
