Forewords by Sandra Gonczarowska Mussi and Andrey Rosenthal Schlee. "Through his photographs, Jankiel Gonczarowska offers us fragments of a reality organized and reflected in his art from a striking personal vision about which he confirms, in his own words, that to be a good photographer you have to dedicate yourself to the profession, get in touch with people before photographing them and travel the world... My goal in creating this book was to make everyone discover this human journey marked by optimism and the history of a better Brazil, at a time when the difference between classes was striking, but each class had its beauty." (Preface) The author had the opportunity to rub shoulders to Niemeyer, President Juscelino Kubitschek and visit several places in Brasília then closed to the public, such as the Alvorada Palace. The photos suddenly change from black and white to color during the 1960s. A remarkable album, rare above the Equator.
