Hardcovers bound in dark green half leather with marbled paper-covered boards. The bindings show some wear but are quite sound with sturdy hinges. The rear hinge on Volume 1 is scuffed with the untreated leather exposed. There is a white scuff mark on the front cover of Volume 1 at the bottom left corner. Bindings tight. Marbled endpapers. The text is a little toned and has some occasional foxing but overall the text appears clean. Half title to Volume 1 appears to be a little loose. SIGNED Bechet one of the publishers on the verso of the title page to authenticate this edition as not being a pirated edition. Text is in French.
