Fair condition good for its age. Legislative journals of this era typicall have loose bindings or boards chipped spines etc. This one has half the spine loose half missing binding is good though inside pages holding well in signatures clean and unmarked. The appendices to legislative journals in all the pre-Confederation provinces are full of valuable social economic cultural history and even genealogical information. Jospeh Méthot in Gaspé did time for Maiming a Horse; Lydia Lambier in Haldimand for Keeping a House of Ill-fame; James Hyett in Kent for Sheep Stealing; Peter Wannamaker in Huron-Bruce an unspecified misdemeanor; 20 unnamed dastards were convicted in Toronto for "Infringement of the Sleigh Ordinance"; John Quay in Simcoe for "shooting at one M'Lilland"; Quebec had convictions for Sodomy Indecently Exposing the Person Molesting a Surveyor and Refusing to Give Statistical Information under the Census Act.
