"considerably augmented and improved" first published in 1858. The present copy has a wrapper dated 1862. The content is identical to that of the 1859 edition and this issue presumably simply used new wrappers. Most of the pamphlet is given over to a general tourist-oriented description of the city. The second part with the caption title "Siege of Quebec in 1759. Translated from the French. Narrative of the doings during the Siege of Quebec.by a Nun of the General Hospital of Quebec." is a translation of a text first published in 1840 and which appeared with differing pagination in the 1858 edition this edition is also listed separately by Sabin as 80871. It is an integral part of the REMINISCENCES pamphlet. The latter part presents an interesting first-hand account of the 1759 siege and storming of the city. TPL 3843. SABIN 69595.
