Interestingly Florida and its title is positioned horizontally at lower right given its shape while North Carolina and its title appear at the map's top and South Carolina and its title below it. It was signed by a clerk and docketed on the verso by several other parties including U.S. Marshal for the District of E. Florida John Beard. To the Marshals of the Territory of Florida Greeting We command you that of the goods and Chattels Lands and tenements of John N Stockton deceased in the hands of William T Stockton administrator to be administered you cause to be made the sum of one thousand seven hundred and thirty three dollars and forty seven cents for his principal and interest there on up to the eight day of December 1843 and eight per cent interest thereon until paid which John Campbell lately in our Superior Court for the County of Escambia in the western District of Florida recovered against the said William T Stockton administrator as aforesaid and the further sum of three dollars and eighty-seven cents Which to the said John Campbell was adjudged for his costs by him about his suit in this behalf expanded where of the said William T Stockton as administrator aforesaid in Convict as appears to us of record and failing the goods and chattels of the said John N C Stockton deceased And you are further commanded that you have the said sum of money in one hundred and twenty days from the date hereof before our said Court at the Court House in said County to render to the said John Campbell to satisfy and pay the debt and costs aforesaid Florida became a state in 1845. Abbreviation of the Amendment states:<br /> <br /> Strike out all after the enacting clause and insert the following be granted to the Alabama Florida and Georgia Railroad Company incorporated by the Legislatures of Alabama and Florida respectively the right of way through portions of the public lands as the said railroad in its course of location pursuant to the charter granted to said company shall pass over: Provided That the portion of the public land occupied by said railroad shall not exceed eighty feet in width." At the time the property was located in DeSoto County; today it would be situated in Charlotte County on the Gulf side of the Florida peninsula.<br /> <br /> Includes detailed answers to 111 frequently asked questions and a monthly planting calendar. "The entire tract is divided into 3395 farms and 3395 town lots - and sold a farm and a lot together for $210.00 - payable ten dollars each month. The farms range in size from a 400 acre general farm to a 10 acre fruit farm and truck farm."<br /> <br /> According to an article in the November 2021 issue of Between the Lines the official newsletter of the Charlotte County Libraries and History "John Milton Murdock's Colony Farms failed after the first rainy season brought extensive flooding that destroyed crops. Attempts to create a canal system to prevent flooding and provide irrigation during the dry season proved unsuccessful and Murdock ultimately fled the area after only a few years."<br /> <br /> Booklet: 32 pp. including the wrappers 3 1/4" x 6" with a map on the rear panel. Florida Pier was born in Orange Park Florida and educated at home until the age of ten. She grew up in Pittsburgh then moved to New York at age 15 to become an actress. In 1910 she married John Scott Maxwell and moved to her husband's native Scotland where she worked for women's suffrage and as a playwright. The couple divorced in 1929 and she moved to London. In 1933 she studied Jungian psychology under Carl Jung and practised as an analytical psychologist in both England and Scotland. She died in Exeter England.
