A rare Congressional publication concerning relief for damages among residents of East Florida during the War of 1812 as outlined in the treaty with Spain in 1819. "The claims were disallowed since the losses in 1812 were not covered by the 9th article of the Treaty of Washington" - Servies. Includes memorials of some of those affected by the invasion including Spanish subjects and residents of East Florida one of whom argued in a letter to the Secretary of the Treasury that the losses suffered "constitute an obligation upon the U.S." Rare with only four copies in OCLC.
