The recipes in short narrative form are attributed with formal names and include: Confederate States Pudding Eggs on Foam Marguerites Zimmet Kitchen Buns Old Billy Bonner's Way to Barbecue Shoat the Charleston Way to Boil Rice and Pickle Prunes. The ice cream section is interesting. Some recipes include wine or liquor as an ingredient. Some age-toning to text-block; a few neat closed tears to some leaves. In stiff black leather covered boards gilt-titled and decorated with a medallion on the front panel. Neatly and professionally rebacked. Near fine. Rare.
