Known by mariners the world over as the 'Flying Angel' (from the device on its ensign), the 'Mission' made an invaluable contribution to the welfare of RN and merchant seamen during WWII. This fragile publication provides a deceptively detailed account of the 'Angel's' global effort; sadly, few copies seem to have survived, let alone in anything like this condition. Noble was C-in-C Western Approaches from February 1941 to November 1942. A rare survival.

A splendid fleet history, with due space accorded to 'San Demetrio' and 'Ohio' from WWII. Includes ROH, detailed fleet profile and lists of officers. Scarce in this condition.
